May 19th, 2020 Native Plant Workshop Cancelled

Well, this COVID-19 thing has made meetings a bit difficult.  County guidelines currently recommend groups of ten or less, so that pretty much fits in with the typical number of people who attend the workshop.  However, Miami Dade College is shut down, so we do not have a facility to meet in.  I spoke with Theresa Chormanski, and she stated that maybe in the Fall (September).  Now that a third month (May) has been canceled, that leaves us with June, July, and August. 

If any of you know of a potential meeting space, whether it be a church, synagogue, club, etc. with folks who are willing to let us meet there, please let me know. 

This is a belated announcement, but I also want to let you all know that longtime founding member of the Dade Native Plant Workshop, Joyce Gann unfortunately passed away in February of this year.  A nice synopsis of her life may be found here.

In the meantime, take care, but be sure to get outside and keep learning plants.  -- Steve
