Enthusiastic folks who wish to learn how to identify South Florida's wild plants
This month we will meet at Ludlam Pineland Preserve located here. Access is from SW 67th Avenue (Ludlam Road), just north of SW 152nd Street. Park your car (or bicycle) along Powerline Easement on the western side of Ludlam Road. Ludlam Pineland Preserve contains 244 taxa is primarily pine rockland. We will begin the trip at 5:00PM sharp! Plan on two hours.
Field Trips are FREE and open to the public. Bring a mask (if you are not yet vaccinated), loupe, pen, notebook, water to drink, and a curious mind. Binoculars are also helpful. We may hike off trail, so wear sturdy shoes and long pants. There are no restrooms at the park. If you want help identifying plants from home, feel free to bring up to three.
