Our February topic is the Anacardiaceae (Cashew Family). You may want to bring in a pair of disposable gloves as this family includes poison ivy and poisonwood. Please bring in at least 3 plants, which needn’t necessarily cover the topic. It is best to bring plants with flowers and/or fruits, especially for those which you do not know.

Our January topic is the Arecaceae (Palm Family), last covered in March 2022. Please bring in at least 3 plants, which needn’t necessarily cover the topic. It is best to bring plants with flowers and/or fruits, especially for those which you do not know. For palms, bring in whole fronds and include the base of the petiole which attaches to the trunk as best you can (take a photo too), when collecting young plants or seedlings, be sure and dig them up.
