Enthusiastic folks who wish to learn how to identify South Florida's wild plants
Now that the days are longer, we will have a few field trips in lieu of meeting at MDC. This Month we will meet at Ludlam Pineland EEL site. Meeting time is 6:00PM. Meet along Ludlam Road SW67th avenue, just north of SW 152nd Street (where theoretical SW 146th street would be). Park along the FPL Powerline easement (look for my white truck) on the west side of Ludlam. We will be walking along some paths and off path through pine rockland plant community (sturdy shoes and long pants are recommended). This pine rockland is very sandy, and has some unusual species more often found in Sandhill plant communities. A plant list for Ludlam Pineland may be found here.
