I was reading Roger Hammer's 'The Hamelia Mess', and realized we had different Hamelia at Montgomery. But then when I checked Hamelia on the Plantlist.org they don't seem to recognize Hamelia patens var. glabra. What are your thoughts on this? I would like to label these correctly. Plus it seems FTBG & MBC have brought in a Hamelia from Cuba.
Hamelia is a mess, and Roger H. would be the best person to verify what you have. I know the native when I see it, and therefore I know what isn't native. I also know H. cuprea. That is as far as I go.

I would trust Roger rather than someone in Denmark as the expert. His article is also well illustrated. Thanks
