December 16, 2025 Festive Dade Native Plant Workshop

December is our annual Christmas Party. Feel free to bring a dish (appetizer style, dessert, or non alcoholic beverage).  

Our December topic is the Burseraceae (Frankincense family), which in South Florida has only one native, Gumbo Limbo (Bursera simaruba), which has many "look-alikes", and we will learn how to tell them apart. Please bring in at least one plant, which needn’t necessarily cover the topic.  

The Native Plant Workshop is FREE. Meeting time is at 5:00PM, the third Tuesday of each and every month. We convene at the Miami Dade College Kendall Campus’s Landscape Technology Nursery in the northwest corner of the campus. Please park inside of the gate.
