20 August 2024 Dade Native Plant Workshop Field Trip

August is a great time to look at grass blooms.  We will meet at Rockdale Pineland, the gate is located on the southwest corner of SW 144th Street (Mitchell Drive) and SW 92nd Avenue.  There is a trail we will hike along, but we will also take brief ventures into the nearby pine rockland woodland.  Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, sun protection.  Bring water, mosquito repellent, a plant loupe, and a walking stick.  Field trip will be from 5PM - 7PM.  Field guides such as the Pine Rockland Field guide by Dan Austin are Roger Hammer's Everglades wildflowers could prove handy.
