Enthusiastic folks who wish to learn how to identify South Florida's wild plants
DUE TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS PANDEMIC, WE WILL NOT BE MEETING THIS TUESDAY. APRIL'S MEETING IS STILL ON UNTIL OTHERWISE NOTIFIED.
March's topic is the Malvaceae (Mallow Family), this includes the Sterculiaceae, Bombicaceae, and Tiliaceae. Go to the Institute for Regional Conservation's FISF Online Database Advance Search tab and select "Malvaceae" under the Plant Family look-up, and a list of plants found in South Florida will appear. Please bring in at least 3 plants, which needn’t necessarily cover the topic.
The Native Plant Workshop is FREE. Meeting time is at 5:00PM, the third Tuesday of each and every month. We convene at the Miami Dade College Kendall Campus’s Landscape Technology Nursery in the northwest corner of the campus. Please park inside of the gate.
