Enthusiastic folks who wish to learn how to identify South Florida's wild plants

interesting. I gotta find a way to make it to those native plant workshops
You would be quite skilled if you could identify all the grasses using a picture book. It is our largest plant family in Florida. Grasses are best mastered using a plant key. This is a species of Andropogon, which is easily identify by the flat leaf bases, and the dual racemes ensheathed until bursting forth. I cannot tell you what species it is based upon the photo. In most cases, one needs a specimen to key out to correctly determine.
