I suspected the mulch was a link, it is next to a pile of tree trimmer's mulch. I guess I better collect the seed pods off of it. It is growing right in the limestone, with a thin sheet of mulch on top.
A new exotic orchid (from SE Asia), that is spreading across the state fairly rapidly. Eulophia graminea, it popsup in areas with mulch, although I have observed it invading pine rockland, and even strand swamp in Immokallee. It arrived about 5-6 years ago.
