Nutgrass (Cyperus rotundus), not a grass, but a sedge in the Cyperaceae. Note the exerted stamens emerging from the spikelets. This species has a hard underground nutlike corm which is edible (missing from the specimen). It is a bit of a pest in that it is difficult to pull up.
