Oh, that thing had me stumped. You might try Roger Hammer, or Keith Bradley. UF agri. station may also be a good bet.

I sent a branch in with Robin Luker to your last workshop, these trees are on the east side of 'snapper creek' hammock at Montgomery Botanical Center. I can try to get a close up and photo of the trunk & bark tomorrow weather permitting.

That is a tough one for me to identify at this distance. Do you have a close-up? Also, any info regarding where the photo was taken greatly helps.
